Trip to Killary
Our TY year group went to Killary on the 15th of September, the day after our junior cert results. After the majority of the year group celebrated their results late the night before Killary, we got up early to go to Killary. It was a long tiresome drive to Connemara. When we got there, we walked a long 18km, through muddy, wet boggy land, to our hostel. At around 6 o clock we came back to the hostel. Another school from Mayo, Mount Saint Michael were there too and we decided to have a little Tuam vs Claremorris competition in the ‘dome’. Obviously we won each activity especially the dodgeball. Although our best supporter Cliodhna had to pack her bags when she broke her foot celebrating our victory. We got up early the next morning to finish our walk. The next day we went on a scenic mountain 10km walk which wasn’t as hard. We then reached our end mark and drove home again. Killary was by far one of the best experiences for us as a group.
