What A Day!! 🥇🥈🥉 We are still reeling fr What A Day!! 🥇🥈🥉 We are still reeling from what was an amazing day at the All-Ireland Schools Athletics Championships yesterday. Our relay team of Nicole Quirke, Aoibheann Costello, Abby Mahon and Alix Joyce took gold in the second last event of the day. 🥇🏆 A first for our school 🙌 2nd year Savanagh O'Callaghan was narrowly piped on the line to take silver in the 1200m walk 🥈 while setting a brilliant PB 👏 5th year Alix Joyce took bronze in the 400m hurdles 🥉 and followed with a 5th place finish in the 400m 👏 5th year Nicole Quirke was 6th in the 200m and 7th in the 100m setting a new PB also. 👏 And finally Ella Rafferty finished 7th in the Discus and 10th in the shot put. 👏 As a school we couldn't be prouder of you all given the hard work and dedication you have shown to your sport. We must congratulate Ms. Warde team coach and our super sub Katie McElroy also for their support in Tullamore yesterday 🤗 #connachtchamps #Allirelandchamps
On the day of the All-Ireland Schools Championship On the day of the All-Ireland Schools Championships the last people we have to introduce you to is our relay team! Made up of five 5th year students. Alix Joyce, Nicole Quirke, Katie McElroy, Abby Mahon and Aoibheann Costello. The team took 1st place at the Connacht Championship 🥇 Best of luck girls ☘ An exciting day ahead for our school today we are extremely proud of all our athletes who are and have represented our school 🙌
Next up is our junior competitor Savanagh O'Callag Next up is our junior competitor Savanagh O'Callaghan 🚶‍♀️ Savanagh is a 2nd year student. She is qualified for the 1200m walk race on Saturday. This is a result of her winning the the Connacht 1200m and setting a new Connacht record 🥇. Savanagh is current the All-Ireland indoor champion in the u15 1000m walk. Best of luck Savanagh ☘
Next up is our senior sports start for 2022 Alix J Next up is our senior sports start for 2022 Alix Joyce. 🏃‍♀️ Alix is a 5th year student. She also coaches our school athletics team. She has qualified for the 400m and 400m hurdles in the All-Irelands on Saturday as well as that she is part of the relay team. Only days after the Connacht Athletics Alix ran a seasons best in the French League in Paris. 🏃‍♀️ Best of luck Alix ☘
